Tak Dong Cheng actors

I shall keep on saying this over and over again...I love TDC's actors. They are the best. People did ask me to create a bloopers clip for fun. But... I cant make a bloopers clip because there's not much bloopers!! There was only one: where Chris was about to hit Yazid with a slipper. The scene wasn't perfect so I shouted CUT. But Chris continued to hit Yazid on the head with the slipper anyway. Hahahaha.

Other than that, we only had more than one take because we wanted to perfect the dialogue, improve the emotions and get the scene right. TDC actors are THAT professional. I did not even have to remind them about continuity - everyone knows what their positions were in the previous scene.

If there's anyone out there looking for actors for short films, etc, I recommend TDC cast. It was enjoyable working with them. They portrayed their characters magnificently, expressed emotions with ease and dialogues sounded natural. I am lucky to have met them.

*Pls leave a comment and tell me what you think of the actors' performances in TDC. The fine talents can refer to your feedback and improve. thks.

If you are related to the director, these are your advantages:

- you will have the first look at the storyline, actors, raw footages etc
- you will get to watch the scenes over and over again (unedited mah)
- you will most probably get tired of the movie even before it screens (hehe..k this one sounds more like a disadvantage but nobody will get to know of the movie front to back like we do)

Actors:

All of you truly played an important role in TDC. No matter how small or big your roles are. There is potential in all of your acting (please do not forget TDC when you become famous later..hehe) I really felt that all of you portrayed a unique performance and made TDC a success it is.

Yazid – I find your facial expressions truly priceless…you were indeed the ‘lead’ in the movie. I absolutely love the scene where you turn to Jas and said, “Nak join?” The look on your face and how you delivered the line ~ classic!

Jas – From Mat Superhero to TDC…you are a natural comedian. I like it when you were playing with the lion’s head in the background when Yazid and Chris were discussing in one scene…minor but very memorable

Chris – You never broke character even when you were speaking in the different languages…very impressive…I know it must have been difficult for you to operate the wheelchair and use the cane at the same time to beat Jas backside during a scene… that’s talent right…I voted you as best actor!

Justin – You portrayed as the ‘baddie’ very well…I was hoping you fell from your lion dance routine at the competition…hehe…take it as a compliment ya…

Hafidz – Ei Susanto! You have no idea but we went around the house shouting, “Susanto! *peace sign to eyes* when we first saw you do that onscreen. You got your first official groupies..hehe…

Khai – You were very expressive when you delivered your lines. You handled the gf role very well. Yo bro, give this girl a bigger role in the next movie…hehe…

Maz – At first, I really thought you were Yazid’s real life mother (no offense to you or Yazid’s mother) But you were really that convincing! I think you nailed the line, “Join band cina mampus ke ~”

Overall:
4 popcorns

One negative comment though…the scene where the judges had to confirm the rules of the competition – the guy judge with specs, sheesh…very stiff acting …why does he have to always point when he speaks? I wonder who he is…

Yazid-Able to carry leading roles. As a theatre performer, Yazid must not be too animated, tone down for tv n film when needed.

Jas-Suitable for comedies and buddy role. Voice need to be loud and clear.

Justin-As a baddie, able to make people hate him. Must have a variety when it comes to expressions n movement or else it'll look repetitive in scenes.

Chris-Able to portray emotions without dialogues while on a wheelchair. Cannot play a cripple as he moves his legs when listening to bhangra music. Need 2 b more focused.

Khai-Good expressions and clarity in dialogues. Had slight difficulties with malay and singlish dialogues.

Hafidz-A natural when acting as an Indonesian. A crowd favourite in TDC. Eyes tend to wander, showing lack of eye focus, in a scene.

Maz-A convincing mother figure, able to carry dialogues with serious topic. Need to be more aware where the camera is and what the scene captures.
